I had a good time with this! I love the art style, everything looks colorful and cute. The music and sounds are nice as well! Having the Panda god constantly interrupting you is a fun way to keep the player on their toes and active in the statue building process. Great work on this!
As usual a very charming, complete and fun game. I'm very impressed by your ability to find a really simple but fun game idea, that you just want to keep playing again and again.
The only little improvement I could think of would be set a hand as a custom cursor.
some little life lessons ~ it's not a weakness or cheat to pick up a bunny up and help them
and ~ you don't need to pick everything up. you only need to worry about as much material as a bunny can carry. only worry about the imminent bunny, coming down the stairs
~ the math is difficult to argue with: fixing your system first is always better than rage-scrambling after individuals
there's more about the reality of generating wealth/savings and being unable to do so; how unequal distribution of resources means privilege does effect equity; the vital importance of infrastructure; adapting to the situation at-hand instead of constantly returning to a fixed paradigm; and the irate panda gods are background features and not part of the game you can control, but those ones make for a more tranquil, almost zen gaming experience
also... could you please make the area around the woodcutter cottage larger? i realize it's partly because of the path margin, but a lot of bunnies are not sticking because of the trigonometry. a mouse swipe has that much farther to move diagonally than across. so while the sticky area might equal the same, the distance is actually farther from the temple avenue than one pass of the mouse. tl;dr there's bunnies standing on top of the woodpile doing nothing
(yes you do use trig when you grow up. stay learning, kids)
Hey :) I really liked this game, especially how the bunnies and the little world looks.
Me and my friend spent some days trying to recreate this game just to learn from it. I couldn't find a private way to contact you but I thought it would be fun to just share it with you (it's behind a secret link on itch.io): https://lexenson.itch.io/bunny-builder?secret=wjn3RfZpMPBq1FGCJ5hz7qrcZU
118. 114. 110. I do wish, wish wish there's more a sticky effect of resources landing on top of the platform? With multiple bunnies stalled, they'll literally be right on top of it, and it turns into an interface problem. Likewise, that resources won't end up on the stairs or on the gravity-defying side of the temple, where picking them up turns into disrupting traffic. Like I said, that turns it into an interface jam (the bad kind) and not even any kind of pixel-hunting skill.
Really reminds me of the olden days when more defense tower games roamed in flash. Timing is everything!
Thanks for the comment and ideas! And what a great score, good job.
You are right, there are a lot of small details that could be done better regarding resources, where they fall and how to pick them up. I'll try to fix some of those issues in a future version.
The trick seems to be to just assign the rabbit at 2/2/0 (wood/stone/build) then focus on maxing roads first then, wood and stone at once and after you did all that, store enough material to finish the statue (50 of each) and assign all to make the statue.
Nice score! Some player did that in playtests and it got reaaally chaotic, so we decided to put a cap on the numbers of bunnies, but you can still have way more than necessary!
(Also look at how awful the prototype looked haha)
Super cute game, but unless I'm missing something the main gameplay is just repeatedly assigning workers to the exact same tasks over and over because every ten seconds some of them get knocked off what they were doing.
That might be a way to describe it haha. You can also gather resources by dragging them to the pile! The idea was to make a very simple "idlish management like game" with a twist that forces you to stay active!

Well earned results for LD51 !
i got 100
accomplishment of the year. with a mouse, btw
Frontloading with stones is what you should do, because they are further away from the storage - prioritize roads.
my record is 139 years

Bunnies suffer under the ravages of capitalism.

Oooh that's so cute! You did a very good job sticking to the core of the game. The art and music are lovely!
I build that amazing looking statue in 31 years.
If you have any question on the game, feel free to contact me on Twitter I'll try to answer them ๐

What a lovely little game! High fives!
Thank you so much ๐
I was hoping bunnies will go rebel when they have enough resource like woods and stones are over 1000 or staying long enough over 500 years.
Wake up bunnies! Poda is just a bully!
Hahaha nice
haha that's pure chaos right there. Thanks for the easter egg idea, we'll keep it in mind for a future version ๐ผ
I'm made it in 274 years !! Very lovely, cute and fun game, I loved every second of it. Congrats to all the team, everything was perfect
